Thrilled for the day ahead, Hayate Club Philippines gathered 5 o’clock in the morning of September 6 at Shell Julia Vargas and had their customary briefing before heading to Infanta. The team left the meeting place at exactly 6:00 in the morning on their Suzuki Hayate 125cc scooters loaded with slippers, school supplies and some snacks for their beneficiaries.

Over 50 riders traversed through the mountainous terrain of the road to Picab Elementary School in Infanta wherein 250 children were waiting. These kids endure walking 2 kilometers going to school 5 days a week barefoot or just wearing frayed slippers. That day gave the kids more reason to smile as everyone got new slippers and school supplies.

The advocacy desires to inspire Filipino children that poverty should not be a hindrance in achieving their goals and dreams. Hayate Club Philippines also believes that “hope begins with the first step” and this activity is them fulfilling that inspiration.

The ride also served as the club’s team building activity as the team did not waste time and appreciated the beauty of Infanta’s beach where they spent the night and conducted games in the spirit of camaraderie.
