Dual-stage front airbags are capable of deploying with reduced or full force for appropriate levels of safety. The front passenger seat weight sensors prevent deployment of the front passenger seat airbag if the occupant weighs less than an average adult, as airbag deployment can be an additional hazard to a child.

Electric Stability ProgramŽ (ESP)* helps to keep your vehicle in control and uses an array of sensors to continuously monitor how well the vehicle responds to a driver's steering input. These sensors detect when a vehicle is about to stray from the driver's intended line of travel (over steer or under steer), and automatically apply brakes to individual wheels and reduces engine power to keep the vehicle under control. Traction control limits wheel slip during acceleration by reducing throttle and applying brakes when wheel slip is detected.
