Suzuki Partners with Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. for the 2012 National Drag Racing Championship
Suzuki Philippines Inc recently sealed a memorandum of agreement with Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc, the fastest growing independent oil company, who will be its main sponsor for the Turbo Suzuki Racing Cup and the Suzuki Race Wars 2012.
The Turbo Suzuki Racing Cup and Race Wars 2012, powered by Phoenix Cyclomax Motorcycle Oils, is Suzuki’s effort to standardize drag racing rules in the Philippines and to protect the enthusiasts by giving them the proper avenue to do it. This year’s Turbo Suzuki Racing Cup and Race Wars will cover three (3) categories—1) the Suzuki Raider 150 Category, 2) the Suzuki Underbone 115cc category for the Smash Raider J, Raider Pro, Shogun Pro and Shogun R, and 3) Suzuki Scooter 130 cc category for Nex 115, Skydrive, Hayate and Step. Registration is free for all eleven (11) qualifying legs to be held nationwide.

This partnership aims to establish a standardized set of rules in drag racing and to protect the enthusiasts,” said Satoshi Uchida, Suzuki Philippines president.
Present at the contract signing were: Suzuki Philippines General Manager for Motorcycle Sales and Marketing division Eiji Koyabashi; Suzuki Philippines Managing Director Catalina Calderon; Suzuki Philippines President Satoshi Uchida; Phoenix Petroleum Chief Operating Officer Romeo de Guzman; AVP for HR, Brand, and External Affairs Atty. Raymond Zorilla; and AVP for lubes and chemicals Alberto Alcid.
