Suzuki Philippines Inc (SPH) donates to GMA Kapuso Foundation
Japanese compact car and motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki Philippines Inc (SPH) recently handed a check worth Php 100,000 to the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), to help drive the company’s rehabilitation efforts for the Sendong-devastated areas in the Northern Mindanao.
Mr. Satoshi Uchida, SPH president said, “Suzuki Philippines Inc is highly committed to the Philippines. Giving back is one of our missions as a company. We hope that through our little donation, we hope to be able to help uplift the lives of those who were afflicted by Typhoon Sendong.
For her part, SPH managing director Catalina Calderon said, “Suzuki wishes to extend our arms in re-establishing parts of Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and even Dumaguete as a community. The Kapuso Village, a site for over 200 homes, will be a living proof of the Filipino people’s solidarity and resilience and we want to be one with them during that rebuilding phase.”
