July 19, 2009: Team Suzuki's racing brilliance wows Antipolo
The winning streak continues for Suzuki’s Racing Team with their overwhelming performance at the 3rd leg of the Ultimate Street Race Series held at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City last July 19, 2009.
The Ynares track was a far cry from the gargantuan size of the Batangas race course, making it a very difficult technical course with tighter turns and shorter stretches. But the challenge was faced head on by Suzuki’s dynamic duo of Johnlery Enriquez and Paul Mark Doblada who displayed their brilliant technical riding skills to the delight of the awestruck Antipolo crowd..
Once more, Enriquez and Doblada saddled up aboard their #21 and #26 Smash Revos and ran the 115cc open. During the first turn, Enriquez, in dramatic fashion, emerged from the cloud of smoke in 1st position while the trailing Doblada was in 3rd. But by the 3rd lap the preying #26 Smash Revo made its move and captured the inside line of the first turn putting the patient Doblada in 2nd place behind Enriquez, and from thereon they never looked back as Suzuki’s duo once again crossed the checkered flag in 1st and 2nd place.
Spectators were still in anticipation for they knew that both riders would take on the Open 4-Stroke Category hoping for the same result in their previous 115 run. This anticipation fuelled a sudden show of support from the Ynares crowd as they cheered on Enriquez and Doblada even before they could come out of the paddock area. And as both emerged atop of their Raider R 150s towards the starting grid the cheers grew louder and louder. Enriquez was on fire as he never let go of his 1st place advantage from the opening lap to the final lap pushing his #21 Raider R 150 to the maximum. Enriquez finished 1st in the open 4-stroke category while Doblada triumphed in a very close 3rd.
The Suzuki Racing Team’s next test will be on August 9 at the Kart Trak in Enchanted Kingdom for the 4th leg of the Underbone King Championships.
Run the race...Race to win…Race with all your heart!
