Suzuki Philippines Inc.’s factory racing team continued its smashing winning streak at the second leg of the 2009 Magnolia Health Tea Philippine Underbone King Championships at the Batangas Racing Circuit last June 21, 2009.
At the pre-finals of the 150cc category, Team Suzuki’s Johnlery Enriquez (#21) and Paul Mark Doblada (#26) had a tight start and were faced with a challenging 6-lap race finishing 4th and 5th respectively trailing Maico Buncio, Masato Fernando and Jaime Barcial.
But this did not dampen their spirits rather it fueled Enriquez and Doblada to regain momentum as they rode close to each other from start to finish bagging the 1-2 finish in both the 115cc Open and 115cc Sports Production Category pre-finals.
As adrenalin escalated on the racetrack, Johnlery Enriquez came in stronger capturing the 3rd spot following Maico Buncio and Jaime Barcial by the final race of the 150cc class.
Enriquez wrapped up the finals of the 115cc category race in 12 minutes and 42.206 seconds or just 0.526 ahead of Doblada who chipped in with a time of 12:42.732 strengthening their rank as 1st and 2nd in this category.
