THE SUZUKI SX4 SEDAN ARRIVES IN STYLE: 
Suzuki Philippines, Inc. marked its official entry to the country’s sedan segment with a powerful unveiling of the new SX4 Sedan at the Le Pavillon in Pasay City on May 30, 2008. With “Show the Way Ahead” as theme, the grand launch was attended by more than 300 guests that included representatives from the print and broadcast media, Suzuki dealers from all over the country and associates from the financing and banking industry. Spectators gathered to witness the arrival of Suzuki’s latest addition to its growing array of premium quality automobiles such as the Grand Vitara SUV, Swift Hatchback, Jimny Compact Real 4x4, Alto Subcompact and APV Family Van. “Suzuki Philippines started operations in 2000 by selling only commercial vehicles. But since then, we have fruitfully penetrated the passenger car market with the introduction of our Swift in 2005, and now proudly with our SX4 Sedan,” said SPH President Mr. Kiyoshi Kawahara during the SX4 Sedan’s grand launch. “We are preparing the Philippine market for more Suzuki Passenger car models in the near future,” added Mr. Kawahara. Before the revelation, the event was celebrated with an upbeat fashion show where suave models strode the runway epitomizing SX4 Sedan’s target market: dynamic and passionate individuals with tremendous energy for life. The fashion show presented unique collections of talented local designers: Peuy Quinones for Bobon (Men’s Wear), Crystalle Ozamis (Ladies’ Wear) and Brian Tenorio (Men’s Shoes). Hair and make-up were provided by the international cosmetic brand, Shiseido. Serving as a grand finale for the fashion show was the grand entrance of the sleek SX4 Sedan with all its five exhilarating colors: Pearl White, Silky Silver Metallic, Pearl Nocturne Blue, Pearl Classy Red and Bluish Black Pearl 3. After the SX4 Sedan debuted on stage, Suzuki’s very own William John Correa from the Auto. Sales & Marketing Department conveyed a product presentation that clearly defined the current positioning of Suzuki Philippines’ latest offering: “The SX4 Sedan is better positioned as an executive and sporty type of vehicle, owing to its class-leading features and utilities. In addition, the SX4 Sedan is a completely built unit (CBU) from Japan, where craftsmanship and high-technology products are manufactured. The SX4 Sedan’s aggressive stance comes from its sporty and aerodynamic underbody kit, complemented by attractive halogen head and fog lamps. This eliminates the need to set up the car after purchase. Its large multi-reflector taillights provide superior illumination, while its triangular A-pillar glass windows and large side-view mirrors eliminate blind spots and optimize driving visibility. Hence, the SX4 Sedan provides maximum protection and promotes safe driving at all times. The car’s roomy interior can comfortably transport five passengers, endowing a cozy ride even on long driving. The 60:40 split-fold seatbacks and huge 515-liter trunk capacity ensures luggage hauling ease. The SX4 Sedan’s leather steering wheel boasts of integrated audio controls – a feature that can be found only on upscale vehicles – which connects to an in-dash CD/MP3 system with eight speakers for listening pleasure. Suzuki’s M16A DOHC, 16-valve, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine powers the SX4 Sedan. It is matched to a 4-speed automatic transmission with a gate-type shifter that adds not just driving convenience but a premium feel to the cabin as well. The car’s Electronic Power Steering (EPS) lessens the load on the engine which allows improved fuel consumption, as compared to a conventional hydraulic power steering system. The SX4 Sedan is currently available in the market with its introductory price of PhP814,000 with a 3-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty. Adding to the appeal is a 2-year or 20,0000-kilometer free service offer, including parts and labor. All above overwhelming product features had been witnessed by guests as they were given the chance to test drive the SX4 Sedan during the event. The discerning Philippine car market is in need of a bolder, more powerful compact car and the SX4 Sedan fashionably arrived on time.
