4x4 DURABILITYThe Jimny has a solid ladder-type frame for serious off-road
performance. Its rigid 3-section design, fortified with eight body
mounts, helps stabilise the ride and absorb shock from the road.
Sturdy full-width axles ensure that when one wheel hits a bump,
the wheel on the other end is forced down to increase surface contact.

Muscle to Match the Situation The Jimny is powered by Suzuki's smooth-revving M13A DOHC engine, most trusted for quick response. It is built fully from aluminium, so it is extremely lightweight and fuel efficient. Teamed with Drive Action 4x4, its performance tackles whatever challenge comes your way. Water cooled, with four in-line cylinders, it accelerates effortlessly through high revolutions, and generates torque - the practical power you need most for everyday driving - in abundance. Leading technologies like MPI (electronic Multi Point Injection), sequentially controlled ignition, and electronically controlled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) provide a hight precision edge. | ||

SAFETY Driving with peace of mind. An LSPV (Load Sensing Proportioning Valve) helps prevent premature locking of the rear wheels at a sudden halt and heightens stopping power when the vehicle is fully loaded. The Jimny's body and full-frame structure were designed through computer analysis to absorb the force of frontal impact and direct it away from the passengers. Side door beams are also incorporated to help preserve cabin integrity. The frame floats on a high performance, 3-link coil suspension that tackles highway curves and bumps with confidence. Separate shock absorbers and coil springs increase suspension, so the ride is taut yet resilient. |

All this power and precision is transferred to the smooth-shifting 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission by way of a specially designed chain that not only significantly lowers friction and noise, but also reduces power loss. A transmission lock-up function raises fuel economy when driving at highway speeds. |

As a Drive Action 4x4 with Air Locking Hub, the Jimny easily shifts between 4WD (4H) and 2WD modes while driving, so you can ably respond to changing weather and surfaces at a moment's notice. All it takes is a push of a button. There are high and low setting on 4WD - the 4H (high) position for fairly flat surfaces, and the 4L (low) setting, ideal for attacking off-road slopes. |
